Duties:

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation to clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, and asset division.
• Manage a personal caseload, handling all phases of family law cases from initial consultation to resolution.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring effective communication and providing strategic legal advice.
• Conduct legal research and draft necessary documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Advocate for clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
• Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional client service and case outcomes.
• Expand the firm’s practice areas by leveraging your existing book of business.
• Provide thought leadership and legal insights through articles, seminars, or other professional activities.

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of experience in family law.
• Portable book of business of at least $200,000.
• Proven ability to independently manage a variety of family law matters from start to finish.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively counsel and guide clients through challenging situations.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail in all aspects of case management.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Maryland.

Skills:

• Expertise in family law litigation, mediation, and negotiation.
• Strong legal research and drafting abilities.
• Excellent client relationship management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain a strong network of clients and referral sources.
