Job Overview

A law firm seeks a plaintiffs-side litigation attorney with 3 years of experience to join its Class Actions practice in San Diego, CA. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact class and collective actions, collaborate with experienced trial lawyers, and take on increasing responsibility in sophisticated litigation matters from early investigation through resolution.

Duties

• Assist in prosecuting class and collective action matters on behalf of plaintiffs across state and federal courts.
• Conduct factual investigations and legal research to support case development and certification strategy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
• Manage and review large-scale discovery, including document productions and data analysis.
• Assist with depositions, expert discovery, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
• Support class certification briefing and trial preparation.
• Communicate with clients, class representatives, experts, and co-counsel.

Requirements

• 3 years of litigation experience, preferably including class action or complex litigation matters.
• Plaintiffs-side experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with federal court practice and motion practice.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active state bar admission in good standing.

Skills

• Excellent legal research and persuasive writing skills.
• Familiarity with class action procedures, including Rule 23 and related state rules.
• Strong organizational and case management abilities.
• Effective oral advocacy and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in team-based litigation environments.
