Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Commercial Real Estate Associate for its Charleston, SC office. The ideal candidate will have a background in commercial real estate law, representing clients in various transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.

Duties

• Represent clients in multifamily, industrial, office, mixed-use, and workforce housing transactions.
• Provide legal counsel on acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
• Handle common and preferred equity investments and joint venture agreements.
• Advise on development, zoning matters, and related ownership issues.
• Represent clients in zoning appeals and property tax assessments.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of experience in commercial real estate law.
• Experience negotiating purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and loan documents.
• Ability to manage and close complex transactions independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Eligibility for admission to the South Carolina Bar is preferred.
