Mid-level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Mid-level Labor and Employment Associate Attorney to join its expanding Employment, Labor, Benefits, and Immigration practice group in Philadelphia. This role focuses on supporting the workplace class action practice and is ideal for candidates with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in complex employment litigation, particularly in wage and hour class and collective action lawsuits.

Duties:

• Defend clients in complex employment litigation, including class and collective actions.
• Conduct witness interviews and take depositions, as well as defend against them.
• Provide counsel to employers regarding compliance with federal and state employment laws.
• Draft workplace policies and assist in the development of employment training programs.
• Collaborate with team members to create effective litigation strategies.

Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years of substantive experience in labor and employment law.
• A strong background in defending wage and hour class actions is preferred.
• Trial experience is advantageous.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Bar admission.

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a collegial team environment.
