Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate for its Mergers and Acquisitions practice in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will support and lead complex corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures, within a dynamic and transformative environment.

Duties

• Represent clients in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents.
• Manage due diligence and logistical preparation for signing/closing.
• Communicate with relevant parties on open issues and transaction documents.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted and in good standing with the New York bar.
• Previous corporate M&A experience at a firm or in-house.

Preferred Requirements

• Experience negotiating critical deal points with opposing counsel.
• Experience reviewing purchase agreements and creating issues lists.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative teamwork.
