A law firm in Emeryville, CA, is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney with 7+ years of litigation, arbitration, and/or insurance/reinsurance experience. The candidate will handle coverage and defense matters, litigation, and arbitration, conducting legal research, drafting legal memoranda and other litigation-related documents, and providing high-quality legal advice. They will manage cases efficiently, participate in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations, and collaborate with a top-tier legal team.

Duties:

• Handle coverage and defense matters, litigation, and arbitration
• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda and litigation-related documents
• Provide high-quality legal advice and strategies
• Prepare and manage cases, participate in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations
• Manage multiple cases efficiently with a keen eye for detail and superior organizational skills
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and court proceedings
• Work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from a top-tier accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Exceptional legal research, writing, communication, analytical, time management, organizational, and verbal skills
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California
• Admissions to additional state bars are a plus but not mandatory
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Education:

Juris Doctorate (JD) from a top-tier accredited law school

Certifications:

Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California
