A law firm in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a skilled Liability Attorney with 3-7 years of liability insurance defense experience. The ideal candidate will handle complex liability cases, provide exceptional legal representation, and contribute to a collaborative work environment. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in liability insurance defense cases, including general liability, professional liability, and product liability matters.
• Manage a caseload of liability defense cases from inception through resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda and documents.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Develop and execute case strategies, including conducting depositions and preparing for trial.
• Negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation and settlement conferences.
• Attend court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings as required.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
• Stay current on changes in liability law and insurance regulations.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior attorneys and support staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar in Florida and in good standing.
• 3-7 years of liability insurance defense experience.
• Proven track record in managing and resolving complex liability cases.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop effective case strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed attorney in good standing with the State Bar of Florida.
