A law firm in Lexington, KY, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in complex defense matters. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching and analyzing legal issues, drafting documents, managing discovery, and communicating effectively with clients and external parties.

Duties:

• Research and analyze complex legal issues efficiently and competently
• Draft motions, discovery requests and responses, legal correspondence, and other necessary documents
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including taking and defending depositions
• Communicate clearly both orally and in writing with managers, clients, and external parties
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, client-service-oriented law firm environment
• Advance the progress of assigned cases and ensure timely completion of tasks
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff as needed

Requirements:

• Licensed by the Kentucky Bar Association
• 3-5 years of litigation experience with a background in complex defense matters
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Licensed by the Kentucky Bar Association
