A law firm seeks a real estate attorney with 16 years of experience in structuring and closing complex commercial property transactions. The role emphasizes deal leadership, client counseling, document negotiation, and coordination with lenders, investors, and counterparties across a broad spectrum of asset classes. Duties

• Lead acquisition, disposition, financing, and leasing transactions for commercial real estate assets.
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, joint venture agreements, and complex leases.
• Conduct and oversee due diligence (title, survey, zoning, environmental) and resolve related issues.
• Coordinate closings with lenders, escrow agents, and opposing counsel.
• Advise clients on risk allocation, deal structures, and market terms.
• Support real estate aspects of broader corporate deals (M&A, restructurings).
• Mentor mid-level and junior attorneys/paralegals to ensure quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• 16 years of focused commercial real estate transactional experience in a law firm setting.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple sophisticated deals simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Established client-service orientation and responsiveness under tight deadlines.
• Portable business a plus (not mandatory).

Education

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school.

Certifications

• Active admission to the State Bar of Texas (or ability to obtain promptly).
• Additional state admissions welcome but not required.

Skills

• Complex document drafting and negotiation (PSAs, loan docs, JV agreements, leases).
• Title/survey review and problem-solving acumen.
