A law firm located in San Jose, CA, is seeking a motivated and skilled Insurance Defense Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in construction defect and general liability litigation. This opportunity provides the chance to work with a dynamic and supportive team while managing a caseload independently and making an impact through client-centered legal work.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, particularly in construction defect and general liability cases.
• Manage a caseload independently while collaborating with team members.
• Take depositions, handle legal research, and draft legal documents.
• Provide expert legal counsel and advocacy in courtrooms.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
• Participate in trial preparation and strategy development.
• Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution when appropriate.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
• 2-6 years of experience in civil litigation, preferably within a law firm setting.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Client-focused with a passion for achieving successful outcomes.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.

Skills:
