Duties
- Lead and manage litigation matters related to trademark and copyright disputes
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
- Represent clients in federal and state courts as well as before the USPTO and TTAB
- Advise clients on IP enforcement, infringement issues, and risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with internal legal teams and clients to develop litigation strategies
- Conduct depositions, trial preparation, and hearings as needed
- Monitor and analyze changes in IP law and case developments relevant to ongoing cases
Requirements
- 18 years of litigation experience, with a focus on intellectual property
- Demonstrated success in managing and trying complex IP cases
- Strong understanding of federal IP statutes and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines
- Must be admitted to practice in Louisiana or eligible for admission
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications
- Active bar membership in good standing
- Admission to practice in Louisiana required
- USPTO registration (preferred but not required)
