Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client needs.
  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and depositions.
  • Assist senior attorneys in preparing for court by organizing and summarizing case materials.
  • Attend client meetings and provide legal counsel and advice tailored to each client's situation.
  • Manage a caseload with varying degrees of complexity, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases.
  • Participate in negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and share knowledge.
  • Stay current with developments in the law, particularly in areas pertinent to the firm's practice areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience as an attorney in a law firm or legal department.
  • Proven ability to perform detailed legal research and writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar (required).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research databases and software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Strong drafting and editing skills.
  • Effective negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
