A law firm seeks a Civil Litigation Attorney in Irvine, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience handling complex civil litigation matters, including employment litigation, habitability, premises liability, and landlord-tenant disputes. The role requires a proactive individual who can work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. The attorney will develop strong client relationships and provide high-quality legal representation.

Duties

• Provide legal representation and counsel clients on various civil litigation matters.
• Review documents and guide clients through the eviction process.
• Offer legal advice via phone, email, and video consultations.
• Draft legal correspondence, including letters and notices.
• Litigate unlawful detainer trials in Southern California courts.
• Draft pre-trial motions and pleadings.
• Represent the firm in internal and external matters.
• Complete project-based work and additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• J.D. and active California Bar license.
• 3-10 years of civil litigation experience.
• General knowledge of civil litigation and landlord-tenant law.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Education

• Graduate degree in law (J.D.).

Certifications

• Active California Bar license.

Skills

• Trial experience preferred.
• Experience in employment law and/or employment litigation preferred.
• Experience in the rental housing industry preferred.
• Proficiency in Lexis/Westlaw preferred.
• Experience with case management and/or document management systems preferred.
