The students will join an organization that provides high quality, effective legal representation and assistance to indigent prisoners, to help them to secure their civil and human rights and to advocate for more humane prisons and for a more humane criminal justice system.
Areas of Law: Civil Rights, Disability, Family and Juvenile, Health, HIV/AIDS, Immigration and Naturalization, Prisoners, immigration- specifically removal defense, and mental health.
Populations Served: Communities of Color, Individuals with physical/mental disabilities, Low Income, Prisoners/Criminal Defendants
