A highly regarded national law firm is seeking a Healthcare Litigation Associate to join its California offices. This role is part of a specialized practice group within the firm's Consumer Financial Services division, focusing on complex healthcare litigation. Key areas of practice include ERISA benefits actions, payor-provider contract disputes, out-of-network reimbursement issues, healthcare regulatory compliance, and consumer healthcare coverage litigation. Location

Duties

• Handle litigation matters involving:

  • ERISA benefits disputes

  • Payor-provider contract and reimbursement claims

  • Consumer healthcare coverage cases

  • Regulatory compliance litigation

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and legal briefs

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and strategic recommendations

• Represent clients in federal and state court proceedings

• Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients throughout all stages of litigation

Requirements

• Admission to the California State Bar

• 2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in healthcare or commercial litigation

• Prior experience with healthcare litigation, including ERISA and reimbursement issues

• Familiarity with federal and state court procedures

• Judicial clerkship experience is preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic performance required

Certifications

• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
