Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Towson, MD is seeking a seasoned litigation attorney with substantial experience in handling civil defense matters. The position involves hands-on case management and client interaction across multiple areas of civil defense.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of litigation from case initiation through trial

• Represent clients in legal matters involving:

  • General liability

  • Professional liability

  • Employment-related claims

• Draft and argue motions, take and defend depositions, and participate in hearings and trials

• Provide strategic legal guidance to clients

• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff in a hybrid environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of litigation experience

• Admitted to practice in Maryland; D.C. admission considered an asset

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex civil litigation matters independently

• Prior experience with insurance defense litigation is highly preferred

• Familiarity with general liability, construction defect, employment, medical malpractice, and/or professional liability matters is advantageous

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in Maryland is required

• D.C. Bar admission is a plus

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities

• Skilled in case strategy and negotiation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Familiarity with Lexis legal research tools

• Excellent time management and organizational capabilities

• Ability to work efficiently in both remote and in-office settings
