Duties

• Prepare briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
• Dictate status letters to clients.
• Attend settlement conferences and trials.
• Conduct depositions and legal research.
• Work with EAMS and provide legal counsel with senior associates.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records.

Requirements

• 3 to 10 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
• Active member of the State Bar of California.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• A working knowledge of EAMS.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients.
• Excellent client relationship skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Successful completion of the bar exam.
