Job Overview
A well-established law firm is seeking a Real Estate Law Associate or Lateral Attorney to join its growing real estate practice group. This opportunity is open to recent law school graduates with practical experience as well as experienced attorneys seeking a lateral move. The successful candidate will support a range of real estate matters including transactions, financing, leasing, zoning, and land use. The position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a seasoned legal team on sophisticated matters with a broad client base.

Duties
Assist with commercial and residential real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing
Draft and review contracts, purchase agreements, leases, and closing documents
Conduct due diligence including title and survey review
Advise clients on zoning, land use, and development matters
Support real estate financing and loan transactions for lenders and borrowers
Represent clients before local planning boards or municipal agencies (if applicable)
Collaborate with senior attorneys on transactional strategy and negotiation
Requirements
Demonstrated interest or experience in real estate law
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of professionalism and commitment to client service
Prior law firm or real estate internship/experience (preferred for junior candidates)
Lateral candidates should have an established foundation in transactional real estate practice
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications
Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (required)
Admission in the firm's primary state of operation (preferred)
Skills
Legal drafting and document review proficiency
Analytical skills with attention to regulatory and zoning matters
Familiarity with title review and property due diligence
Collaborative mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and negotiation skills
