Duties
Draft and implement comprehensive estate plans tailored to client goals
Conduct client consultations to discuss estate planning strategies
Prepare and explain legal documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.)
Handle probate and estate administration matters
Provide guidance on fiduciary appointments including executors and trustees
Collaborate with clients' financial advisors and insurance professionals
Travel occasionally to client homes, hospitals, or care facilities as needed
Supervise support staff in document preparation and trust funding
Assist in public seminars, webinars, and firm-led presentations
Perform legal research and brief colleagues on developments in the field
Draft educational content and articles for client and professional audiences
Participate in firm improvement initiatives and innovation projects
Requirements
Active membership and good standing with the New York State Bar
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal, accounting, or finance setting
Excellent academic background
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable with client-facing responsibilities and public speaking
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly
Ability to manage a fast-moving caseload with precision and professionalism
Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous personal and professional development
Team-oriented mindset and willingness to support colleagues as needed
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
