Duties:

• Immigration Law:
  • Represent clients in cases before government agencies, including the Immigration Court (EOIR), USCIS, and the Department of State (DOS).
  • Prepare and file petitions, applications, and supporting documents for Asylum, Adjustment of Status, U Visas, VAWA, Waivers, and Cancellation of Removal.
• Personal Injury Law:
  • Advocate for clients in personal injury cases, particularly during the litigation phase.
  • File complaints, respond to discovery requests, attend depositions, engage in mediation, negotiate settlements, and prepare for trial.
• Family/Probate Law:
  • Represent clients in California courts for Special Immigrant Juveniles (SIJS) cases, including Guardianship and One-Parent Custody petitions.
  • Prepare necessary filings, present evidence, and advocate for vulnerable children in support of immigration relief eligibility.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft motions, briefs, and appeals across practice areas.
• Maintain clear and regular communication with clients, ensuring they are informed and supported through legal challenges.
• Supervise and collaborate with support staff for efficient case management and accurate filings.
• Handle additional duties as required.

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in California.
• Proven experience in handling litigation cases effectively.
• Exceptional research and writing skills, with the ability to draft compelling legal documents.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at explaining complex legal concepts to clients and officials.
• Highly organized, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality legal services with professionalism and integrity.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Valid Bar license to practice law in California.

• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
