This position offers an opportunity to work on a variety of cases, including environmental law, workers' compensation, personal injury, and patent law. The ideal candidate will bring excellent research and writing abilities, as well as the skills to efficiently manage case preparation and courtroom procedures in collaboration with senior attorneys.

Duties:

• Conduct detailed legal research using platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to aid in case preparation.
• Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Assist in organizing evidence and preparing trial exhibits.
• Attend hearings and depositions to support senior attorneys.
• Communicate with clients to collect information and provide status updates.
• Collaborate with team members to develop effective case strategies.
• Maintain organized case files, ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Texas State Bar.
• Experience or coursework in environmental law, workers' compensation, personal injury, or patent law is a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience is ideal.
• Proficiency in legal research tools, such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
• Strong written communication skills for drafting legal documents.
• Previous experience in a law office or legal administrative role is beneficial.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a legal team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Texas State Bar Admission.
