Duties:

  • Conduct detailed legal research using platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to aid in case preparation.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
  • Assist in organizing evidence and preparing trial exhibits.
  • Attend hearings and depositions to support senior attorneys.
  • Communicate with clients to collect information and provide status updates.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop effective case strategies.
  • Maintain organized case files, ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas State Bar.
  • Experience or coursework in environmental law, workers' compensation, personal injury, or patent law is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience is ideal.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting legal documents.
  • Previous experience in a law office or legal administrative role is beneficial.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a legal team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
