Duties:

• Lead and manage land use, zoning, and development permitting cases.
• Provide legal counsel to clients on land use regulations, zoning laws, and development strategies.
• Represent clients in hearings, public meetings, and before governmental agencies.
• Negotiate and draft agreements related to land use, environmental issues, and development projects.
• Work closely with local authorities, developers, and other stakeholders to navigate the permitting process.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff.
• Maintain and expand client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and successful outcomes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in land use, zoning, and development permitting.
• Proven track record of handling complex legal matters in the land use sector.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal land use laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and client management skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar is preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain Florida Bar admission if not already licensed.
