Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Consumer Protection Litigation Attorney for a fully remote position based in San Francisco, CA. The attorney will independently manage an active caseload, handle litigation matters through various stages, and collaborate with team members when necessary.

Duties

• Manage federal and California state litigation matters from filing through resolution.
• Investigate claims and develop case strategies.
• Draft litigation documents including complaints, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analyze issues.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings.
• Manage discovery processes and document production.
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
• Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff.

Requirements

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 18+ months of civil litigation experience in California state or federal court.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Knowledge of Federal and California Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Experience with electronic discovery and document production.
• Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a remote environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership with the State Bar of California.

• Competency with legal research platforms and case-management software.
