Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Insurance Coverage Attorney for its New York City office. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in handling D&O management liability, employment practices liability, and other professional liability claims. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Analyze insurance policies
• Draft coverage opinions, reservations of rights, and disclaimers
• Monitor D&O, EPL, LPL, and E&O cases across the U.S.
• Retain and communicate with defense counsel for insureds
• Prepare bordereau and other client-specific reports
• Report and meet with underwriters and program producers

Requirements

• Admission to the New York State Bar
• 3 to 5 years of experience interpreting D&O, EPL, LPL, E&O, and various other insurance policies
• Drafting coverage opinions and coverage letters
• 2+ years of experience with Lloyd's of London program accounts, highly preferred
• Superior legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree
