A law firm in San Jose, CA, seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing responsive pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and client counseling, particularly in employment law. Strong communication, analytical, and writing skills are essential for this role.

Duties:

• Prepare responsive pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Engage in motion practice and respond to discovery or administrative charges.
• Counsel clients on legal matters, focusing on employment law or other relevant areas.
• Manage cases from inception to resolution, including case management, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Handle pre-litigation disputes, including compliance matters and policy development.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience with case management, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Familiarity with employment law, wage laws, leave, compliance matters (FMLA, ADA, wage and hour), and policy development preferred.
• Strong academic background with demonstrated performance and measurable results.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and writing skills.

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar.
