A law firm in Houston is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 6+ years of experience in IP litigation, preferably with trial experience. The ideal candidate should have a technical background in software, computer science, electrical, or mechanical areas. They must have experience independently conducting research, drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, and participating in hearings and depositions. Strong academic credentials, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality client service are essential.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property litigation matters.
  • Draft substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Organize, conduct, and manage the discovery process, including document review and production.
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings.
  • Interface directly with clients and provide updates on case developments.
  • Work closely with experienced lawyers to assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to clients in intellectual property litigation matters.

 

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
  • Technical background in software, computer science, electrical, or mechanical areas.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission.
  • Trial experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality client service.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission.
