Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mass Tort Litigation Attorney in Hudson, FL. The attorney will manage various litigation responsibilities, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and supporting trial preparation. This role involves collaboration with paralegals and case managers to ensure compliance with court orders and firm standards. High-performing attorneys may be considered for leadership roles in coordinated proceedings. This position is available in any of the firm's offices across the United States.

Duties

• Develop and execute litigation strategy for mass tort matters.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings and substantive motions.
• Ensure compliance with case management and scheduling orders.
• Monitor and implement developments in MDL/coordinated proceedings.
• Provide direction to paralegals and case managers on litigation tasks.
• Identify and develop liability and damages proof.
• Assess and recommend appropriate venue and jurisdiction for filing.
• Support strategic filing decisions and settlement efforts.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of state and federal civil procedure.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional judgment and discretion.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and litigation technology/tools.

Education

• JD required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation matters.
• Substantial experience with complex litigation preferred.
• Experience mentoring and supervising others preferred.

Certifications

• Admission to at least one U.S. state bar required.

Skills

• Experience using CM/ECF, PACER, Westlaw, and Litify.
