Duties:

• Conduct early-stage case evaluations and establish mitigation strategies

• Draft responsive pleadings and discovery materials

• Oversee and manage document production and review

• Participate in and report on depositions, hearings, and related litigation events

• Handle negotiations, secure settlement authority, and prepare for trial

• Coordinate and communicate effectively with paralegals and legal assistants

• Maintain accurate documentation and case files

• Collaborate within a team to meet client expectations and deadlines

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of legal practice experience

• Prior experience in insurance defense preferred (1–3 years ideal)

• Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar

• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and effectively

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail and effective multitasking ability

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in South Carolina

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management tools
