A law firm in North Charleston, SC, is seeking a skilled General Liability Defense Attorney to join their team. The position involves managing a caseload focused on defending clients in general liability matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of litigation from case inception through trial, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and provide analysis of complex legal issues related to general liability defense.
• Represent clients at hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Develop and execute case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, experts, and internal team members.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client service.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Bar membership in good standing in South Carolina.
• Should have experience practicing law with a focus on general liability defense.
• Strong litigation skills and experience handling cases independently.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Trial experience is desirable.
• Negotiation skills and ability to resolve disputes effectively.
