Litigation Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Fort Myers is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney with 3-7 years of associate experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, managing cases, and supporting lead attorneys in hearings.

Job Duties:

• Draft letters, memos, motions, orders, pleadings, and other legal documents
• Prepare the lead attorney for upcoming hearings
• Ensure adherence to case management deadlines and stay on top of case management
• Coordinate discovery efforts with paralegals and other legal support staff
• Conduct legal research on various topics
• Utilize Clio for case management (experience preferred)
• Proficient in using Outlook, Adobe, and Microsoft Office
• Achieve a score of 155+ on the LSAT
• Attain an "A" or top marks in legal research and writing
• Graduated at least cum laude from law school
• Graduated in the top 25% of the law school class

Requirements:

• JD degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of Florida
• 3-7 years of associate experience in litigation
• Proficiency in legal research, writing, and drafting
• Familiarity with case management software such as Clio
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar of Florida
