Litigation Docketing Specialist

The candidate will docket and calendar all the day to day litigation deadlines, and will provide docketing support to multiple practice areas that perform litigation work. Provide a quality control, second level of review of the firm’s docketing and will report to the Docket Manager. Review and monitor the Firm's docketing system, including the supervision of data entry, analysis, and calculation of due dates for all jurisdictions the firm practices in. Understand and research court/ agency procedural rules. Keep docketing system updated by ensuring that all documents are entered for each case and that the deadlines are calculated correctly. Keep abreast of developments, procedures and rules in the forums where the firm practices including general state and federal practice. Mentor new Department members and help to promote an elevated level of accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of the Firm's docket systems. Draft correspondence and communications relating to docketing systems and procedures as necessary. High School diploma and 10+ years of experience in a law firm docketing department with similar job responsibilities and supervisory experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5-7 years of experience in a law firm docketing department with similar job responsibilities and supervisory experience is required.
