A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney in Midtown Manhattan, New York. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in premises liability and motor vehicle negligence matters, with a focus on trial advocacy and courtroom skills.

Duties

• Independently manage a caseload of 80-110 cases.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Prepare and examine witnesses, develop case strategies, and ensure thorough trial preparation.
• Collaborate with partners, senior trial attorneys, and support staff on case strategy and legal analysis.
• Draft and argue dispositive and procedural motions.
• Maintain communication with clients, providing updates and legal counsel.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations, updating the legal team as needed.
• Report to managing attorney on case status and other requested information.
• Mentor and supervise paralegals and support staff.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in New York; New Jersey and/or EDNY/SDNY admission is a plus.
• 7-10 years of litigation experience from inception to pre-jury selection stage.
• Ability to handle a caseload of 80-110 cases independently.
• Summary Jury Trial/Arbitration experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Superior legal research skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
