Location:

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of workers' compensation defense litigation, from intake to settlement or trial.

• Prepare and file necessary legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.

• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials as required.

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and experts to facilitate case progress.

• Advise clients on legal options and strategies for resolving workers' compensation claims.

• Handle case management and ensure timely deadlines are met.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense or related legal field.

• Ability to manage a caseload independently.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated trial experience is preferred.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in the state where practicing (California Bar preferred).

Skills:

• Expertise in workers' compensation defense.

• Strong litigation and case management skills.

• Ability to draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery.

• Knowledge of applicable workers' compensation laws and regulations.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client service skills.

• Proficiency in using legal software and managing remote work tools.
