A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience who is an active member of the California State Bar. The ideal candidate will be passionate about serving the immigrant community and will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases, including family-based immigration, asylum, and deportation defense.

Duties:

• Research relevant statutes, case law, and legal developments.
• Draft motions, briefs, and appeals for various immigration cases.
• Analyze cases to identify potential forms of relief and issues.
• Review applications to ensure accuracy and proper preparation of documents.
• Prepare clients for interviews before USCIS and represent them in immigration court.
• Appear before Probate and Family Courts within California.

Requirements:

• Active member of the California State Bar.
• Fluent in Spanish.
• Dedicated commitment to public interest work, particularly in immigration law.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
