A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its Property Owners Association practice in Texas. This role involves managing a blend of enforcement and transactional matters related to community associations, with opportunities to collaborate closely with senior attorneys on complex real estate disputes.
Duties
Supervise and review the preparation of pleadings, motions, responses, and discovery for both pre-litigation and litigation matters.
Manage a high-volume docket encompassing deed restriction enforcement, lien actions, and collection proceedings.
Represent the firm’s clients at hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
Engage directly with clients to provide updates, gather information, and develop legal strategies.
Coordinate workflow and mentor paralegals to ensure timely completion of assignments.
Collaborate with Shareholders and other attorneys across firm offices on multi-jurisdictional matters.
Requirements
Licensed to practice law in Texas.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in real estate litigation, community association law, deed restriction enforcement, or related areas.
Demonstrated ability to balance both litigation and transactional tasks.
Proven record of managing a caseload from inception through resolution.
Capability to draft and argue motions, formulate discovery plans, and develop case strategies.
Strong client-interaction skills and a commitment to developing business relationships.
Education
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active membership in the State Bar of Texas.
