Associate Attorney needed for Pasadena office

Profile

A law firm in Pasadena, CA is seeking an Associate Attorney to undertake a range of legal tasks including intense research, discovery preparation and response, court appearances, trial preparation, and coordination with expert witnesses. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing skills, excellent organizational abilities, and preferably have experience in personal injury law.

Duties:

• Conduct intense legal research on various case-related matters.
• Propound discovery requests and respond to discovery requests from opposing parties.
• Prepare meet and confer letters and engage in communication with opposing counsel and entities involved in cases.
• Draft major complaints, motions, and court documents such as summary judgments, demurrers, and Daubert challenges.
• Handle court appearances, pre-trial motions, and trial preparation.
• Coordinate with expert witnesses, including contacting them for assignments and managing their involvement in cases.
• Support trial matters and provide assistance during trial proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Currently seeking Post-Bar position awaiting Bar results or already passed the Bar.
• Strong writing skills, with an emphasis on legal writing.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Legal experience, preferably in the personal injury field.
