A law firm seeks a Junior to Mid-Level Associate to join the Global Corporate Group in New York. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in representing private equity funds, institutional investors, and alternative asset managers in various transactions, including leveraged buy-outs and strategic joint ventures.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate complex M&A and private equity transaction documents.
• Participate as a key member of deal teams, managing due diligence through closing.
• Produce acquisition and equity documents in a client-ready format.
• Handle general corporate portfolio company matters.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of relevant experience in M&A and private equity transactions.
• Active member of the New York state bar.
• Experience with middle market transactions preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple aspects of transactions independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
