Temporary Faculty/Lecturer
The candidate work for 9-month appointment. Responsible for supervising established Immigration Litigation and Appellate Clinic and teaching Immigration Law course. The clinic is devoted to providing legal services in various immigration matters and engaging in outreach activities to the surrounding communities. Will be involved in providing direct legal services to clients and will supervise law students who represent those clients. Also be responsible for running the seminar or classroom component associated with the clinic, and other duties according to the needs of the college and as directed by the dean. Must have a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school or the equivalent with a distinguished academic record and 5 years of post-J.D. practice, clerking, or teaching experience, 2 years of which must have been spent exclusively or primarily on immigration law. Must be a member of a bar in good standing and must be eligible for admission to the Idaho Bar as a supervising attorney. Applicants must also be eligible and in good standing to practice law in the federal courts and before administrative agencies in the area of Immigration Law. Should preferably have 5+ years of post-J.D. practice, clerking, or teaching exclusively or primarily in the area of immigration law.
