Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with a minimum of three years' experience to join its commercial litigation group in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have clerkship and law-firm experience, including managing cases and drafting pleadings.

Duties

• Manage cases and draft pleadings and contested motions.
• Take depositions and handle written discovery and responses.
• Argue motions in court.
• Engage in complex litigation, including consumer class actions and business litigation.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years' experience in commercial litigation.
• Experience or interest in complex litigation preferred.
• Trademark and trade secret experience considered.
• Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Membership or pending membership of the California State Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• California State Bar membership or pending membership.

Skills

• Strong case management and legal research abilities.
