Duties:

• Manage and assist in a wide array of litigation matters across commercial and business disputes

• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and correspondence with clarity and strategic insight

• Engage in legal research and analysis of complex issues across industries

• Conduct discovery, including depositions and document review

• Represent clients in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations

• Interact with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel in a professional and solution-oriented manner

• Contribute to legal strategy and collaborate with partners and team members to achieve client goals

• Participate in client development, public speaking, and networking opportunities

• Maintain responsibility for managing case timelines, deadlines, and workload in a fast-paced practice

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial matters

• Licensed to practice law in Rhode Island

• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically with clients and legal teams

• Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to meet urgent deadlines

• Professional demeanor and sound judgment when navigating sensitive issues

• Comfortable working on-site with a collaborative legal team most of the time

• Commitment to long-term growth in private practice

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic track record preferred

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Rhode Island Bar

• Massachusetts Bar admission is a plus

Skills:

• Adept at litigation strategy and procedural planning
