Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Privacy and Cybersecurity Litigation Associate to join their team in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will work on complex data privacy and security issues in litigation, arbitrations, and regulatory investigations.

Duties

• Engage in privacy, cybersecurity, and consumer protection litigation in state and federal courts.
• Defend claims under statutes such as CCPA/CPRA, TCPA, CIPA/ECPA, CMIA, CEMA, COPPA, BIPA, and FCRA.
• Participate in regulatory investigations or enforcement actions.
• Contribute to security incident response efforts.
• Collaborate directly with clients and manage fast-moving matters with multiple stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant litigation experience.
• Admitted to and in good standing with the California bar.
• Superior verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the California bar.

Skills

• Strong aptitude for technology and understanding of technological processes.
