Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Real Estate Attorney to join their team in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will handle business structuring and transactional matters, specializing in complex tax planning and commercial real estate. Job Details:

• Contribute to the coordination and execution of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, debt and equity transactions, dispositions, joint ventures, real estate funds, alternative investment structures, tax credits, tax-advantaged investing, legal entity structuring, and federal, state, and local tax planning.
• Review, draft, and prepare various legal documents, such as limited liability company agreements, joint venture agreements, preferred equity investments, and real estate fund documents.
• Provide tax counsel on business structuring documents, fund formations, partnership and LLC tax issues, tax credit and tax-advantaged investments, and transactional documents.
• Offer legal analysis on documents related to equity investments, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and tax-advantaged investing.
• Demonstrate excellent written communication skills to produce concise and effective written work.
• Possesses strong presentation skills to communicate advice to clients and colleagues.
• Utilize strong analytical skills to provide unique perspectives on complex legal issues.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and work effectively under pressure.
• Preferably have 5 years of legal experience, with experience in drafting legal documents for corporate matters.
• Should be licensed to practice law in the State of Alabama and be in good standing with the Alabama State Bar or eligible to become licensed in Alabama.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree.
• 5 years of legal experience, focusing on real estate and tax law.
• Strong background in drafting legal documents for corporate matters.
• Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to offer unique perspectives on complex issues.
• Sound judgment and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Licensed to practice law in Alabama or eligible to become licensed.

Education:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
