Duties

• Partner closely with seasoned legal professionals to manage complex litigation and claims

• Draft and prepare legal filings, pleadings, and memoranda for various phases of litigation

• Handle case responsibilities including depositions, mediations, pre-trial motions, and court appearances

• Participate in strategic litigation planning and evidence development for trial

• Conduct legal research and formulate legal arguments for civil and workers’ compensation matters

• Support ongoing case management and maintain communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

• Contribute to collaborative case reviews and legal strategy sessions

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional legal experience, preferably in litigation or workers' compensation

• Familiarity with procedural rules and legal standards in both state and federal court systems

• Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume caseloads and meet strict deadlines

• Exceptional advocacy, negotiation, and analytical thinking skills

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-oriented legal environment

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA)

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Iowa

• Willingness and eligibility to obtain licensure in neighboring states, including Illinois, Kansas, Indiana, and Nebraska
