Description
The Senior Unified Communications Engineer provides the planning, design, acquisition and implementation of the company's communications systems including but not limited to Office 365, email, instant messaging and SharePoint. Packaging and installation for client facing software and add-ins. The Senior Unified Communications Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and a thoughtful approach towards end user solutions.
Responsibilities
The Senior Unified Communications Engineer evaluates company requirements to determine whether an internal or cloud application is more appropriate. Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons. Performs research and analysis to determine best configuration of systems for end user experience. Determines best strategy for software deployment , configuration and updates using MEMCM (SCCM), cloud deployment tools and policy controls. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field OR equivalent experience in lieu of degree
5 years of software delivery or Unified Communications experience
Experience planning, designing, and implementing communications systems
Experience planning, designing, and deploying software and configurations to local and remote Windows / Mac clients
Office 365 experience with Migrations, Administration and Engineering
