Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its Construction Litigation Practice Group. This role is ideal for attorneys with 3–6 years of experience in construction-related disputes who are seeking to grow their practice in a sophisticated and supportive legal environment. The successful candidate will work on matters involving construction defects, delay claims, design negligence, contract disputes, and payment issues, and must be equipped with strong research, writing, and client relationship skills.

Location:

• Cincinnati, OH

Duties:

• Represent clients in construction litigation matters including defect and delay claims

• Draft legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and memoranda

• Conduct depositions and assist in trial preparation

• Handle breach of contract claims and payment disputes

• Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks related to construction projects

• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation

• Maintain regular communication with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

Requirements:

• 3–6 years of construction litigation experience

• Prior experience in construction defect or delay claims, design negligence, or breach of contract preferred

• Strong legal research and writing skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively

• High level of professionalism and commitment to client service

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials preferred

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Ohio (required)

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal drafting and courtroom procedure

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
