A respected New York-based law firm is seeking a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on General Liability to join its defense team in Islandia, NY. Location:

• Islandia, NY

Duties:

• Manage a full caseload of general liability matters including transportation, premises, and construction/labor law

• Handle court appearances, depositions, and inspections independently

• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses

• Analyze and summarize medical records and reports

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery responses

• Prepare for and participate in expert meetings and site inspections

• Maintain timely communication with clients and provide litigation strategy updates

• Work closely with internal legal team on complex case issues

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in general liability defense preferred

• Ability to independently handle caseload from inception through resolution

• Strong case management, client communication, and litigation skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in the State of New York and in good standing

Skills:

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Exceptional oral advocacy and deposition-taking skills

• Highly responsive and organized communicator
