Duties

• Manage own caseload and deadlines
• Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses
• Perform legal analysis and develop case strategies
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery
• Take depositions, attend hearings, and participate in mediations
• Conduct site inspections and accident scene investigations
• Assist in accident reconstruction and emergency response investigations
• Negotiate settlements
• Assist with trial and post-trial requirements

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in General Liability Defense or related areas
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong skills in writing, analysis, research, and negotiation
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Good standing with the Florida Bar

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida

Skills

• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
• Trial experience is a plus
