Technical Services And Electronic Resources Specialist
The candidate will manage the creation, editing, updating, and enhancement of catalog, acquisitions, and serial records for the law library’s collection, including electronic resources. Manage the physical collection, including but not limited to inventory, filing, stack maintenance, and labels. In conjunction with the Director, engage in the requisitions process at the beginning of the budget year and assist with monitoring expenditures throughout the year. Process invoices, maintain the acquisitions system, and work with vendors to resolve problems related to purchases including standing orders and claims. In consultation with the Director and other staff, plan for and participate in special projects. Oversee the daily tasks of the Information Resources Assistant and other workers assigned to technical services duties. Establish workflows, procedures, and documentation for technical services. Provide collection-related statistics and technical services-related reports. Work with firm IT and vendors to resolve technical issues. Implement and support authentication methods as appropriate, including the use of IP authentication, passwords, SSO, and API technology. Collect, analyze, and present use, purchase, and availability data of electronic resources. Monitor trends and best practices related to electronic resource access, usage, and resource adoption. Provide customer-oriented research and reference assistance to all members of the firm. Coordinate maintenance of the library intranet page, and in collaboration with the Information Resources team, develop and implement library intranet design and content changes. Other duties as assigned.
