Job Overview:
A law firm specializing in integrated technology and legal solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Discovery Attorney to join any of their offices. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience and a comprehensive understanding of all discovery phases in litigation, transactional, compliance matters, and government investigations. This position requires working collaboratively with case teams, clients, and eMerge attorneys and technologists to craft and manage eDiscovery workflows and protocols with a focus on risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility while aiming for successful case outcomes.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX.

Duties:

  • Advise and support case teams and clients through all phases of discovery, from preservation to production.

  • Provide expertise on pre-litigation information governance and trial preparation.

  • Collaborate with other attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to create and manage case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.

  • Oversee and ensure quality of work and deliverables for eMerge Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Focus on risk mitigation, cost control, and defensibility in all eDiscovery processes.

  • Manage post-production deposition and witness preparation as applicable.

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing in the state where practicing.

  • 5-7 years of experience in discovery and eDiscovery matters.

  • Expertise in advising clients and case teams on discovery and data governance.

  • Strong knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Ability to explain complex legal and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with corporate messaging, collaboration, and productivity solutions, including Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active state bar membership.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of eDiscovery processes and best practices.

  • Proficient in eDiscovery tools, particularly Relativity (preferred).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain quality control over deliverables.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
