Duties

• Communicate empathetically with clients needing guidance on construction issues.
• Review and analyze construction-related legal matters to determine the best course of action.
• Negotiate with opposing parties to resolve construction disputes.
• Lead litigation practice through discovery, depositions, and mediation.
• Oversee workflow and assignments for legal support staff and outside counsel.
• Guide homeowners through renovation project issues, including payments and quality of work.
• Assist contractors with contract, lien, and payment issues.

Requirements

• Licensed in Florida with 5 to 8 years of construction or commercial litigation experience.
• Experience advising homeowners and small business owners.
• Proficient in all phases of pre-trial litigation.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to resolve disputes efficiently.
• Excellent writing skills for presenting arguments in letters and motions.
• Technologically savvy with attention to detail.
• Experience managing other lawyers and a legal support team is a plus.
• Ability to generate clients within the firm's niche is advantageous.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
